GENERAL INFORMATION

 

SONA A GUITARRA is the name that was created to name all the musical activities carried out under the INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF GUITAR ORCHESTRA and the INTERNATIONAL GUITAR COMPETITION FOR A YOUNG GUITARISTS and which involved more than 240 students. This year we celebrate the 11th edition.

SONA A GUITARRA 2019 It is aimed at young guitarists from 9 years old Music Schools and Conservatories all professional and higher. It will work repertoire from the eighteenth century to the twentieth century. This material is appropriate to the level of the participating students.

Students will also learn basic TECHNIQUES OF CONDUCTING with Professor David Murgadas and experience with the orchestra in concerts to be performed. IMPROVISATION with Professor Cecilio Ruedas and POSTURAL EDUCATION / YOGA with Professor Stanimir Bozhkov.

SONA A GUITARRA 2019 advertised internationally and classes can be given in Catalan, Spanish, Bulgarian and English.

There is no age limit.

Course location

The course will be held on the premises of the Music School of Navàs and the Civic Center and the Monastery of Santa Maria in the village of Serrateix in the Berguedà and some kinds of postural education in the countryside.

The contest will be held at the Music School of Navàs

CONCERTS

Municipal School of Music in NavàsSaturday June 29 at 8 pm.

Santa Maria de Serrateix, Sunday 30 June at 8pm.

MATERIAL

Students should bring: guitar, stand, walk, pencil, eraser and electronic tuner. The sheet material is covered and will be delivered during the course.

There are also comfortable clothes, mat and cushion  for classes postural education / yoga.

Clothing concerts will be dark.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Students will be attended by professors David Murgadas, Cecili Ruedas and Stanimir Bozhkov during the time of the International Guitar Orchestra Course. The Music School of Navàs will be the general coordinator outside the course schedule.

Activities will begin promptly at the scheduled time.

All students will have certificate of participation in the SONA A GUITARRA 2019

ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

It has several places to stay and eat:

SERRATEIX:

PUIG-REIG:

The HOTEL RESTAURANT CAL MARÇAL  located at the entrance of Puig-Reig and 5 minutes drive from the course location, you can stay and eat.

NAVÀS:

Course place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30, has several restaurants.

* Some families of Navàs selflessly offered the possibility of hosting some of the participating students.
It will be offered free dinner and sleep Friday, June 28. Breakfast, dinner and sleep Saturday, June 29 and Sunday June 30 breakfast

* Seats for this option will be limited and strict order of registration and demand. meals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which will be held in group. These meals are not included, each student pays own meal.

– 9.15 am to 10 am – POSTURAL EDUCATION / YOGA

– 10 am to 1:45 pm – INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF GUITAR ORCHESTRA. Basic conducting techniques.

– 2 pm to 4.30 pm- FOOD AND LEISURE

– 4:45 pm to 8 pm- INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF GUITAR ORCHESTRA

 

SATURDAY June 29

– 9:45 am -Arrival Students at the School of Music in Navàs

– 10 am  to 1:45 pm – INTERNATIONAL COURSE ORCHESTRA GUITARS AND TECHNIQUES HOME ADDRESS and IMPROVISATION

– 2 pm to 4.30 pm – FOOD AND LEISURE

– 5 pm 6:45 – INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF GUITAR ORCHESTRA. Preparation for the first concert.

– 7pm to 7.45 pm – POSTURAL EDUCATION / YOGA

– 8 pm – INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG GUITARISTS AND CONCERT OF THE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR ORCHESTRA. Music School of  Navàs.

 

 

SUNDAY JUNE 30

– 10 am to 1:45 pm – INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF GUITAR ORCHESTRA AND TECHNIQUES HOME ADDRESS and IMPROVISATION

Preparing the closing concert of the SONA A GUITARRA 2019

– 8 pm –  CLOSURE OF THE CONCERT 11th edition of SONA A GUITARRA 2019 . Winners of the 8th International Competition for young guitarists. Distribution of awards and diplomas.

BASES

1- Enrolled students can participate in the SONA A GUITARRA 2019

2- There are two categories:

Category A: from 9 to 12 years.

Category B: 13 to 16 years.

 

3- Only one test is performed and there will be three winners for each category.

 

4- The prizes are as follows:

2nd PRIZE

5 – The program is free with works of different styles and duration for category A 5 minutes of music and for category B of 8 minutes of music. Avoid exceeding of the time.

6 – The start of the competition of the two categories will be on Saturday June 29, 2019 at 8 pm at the Music School of Navàs

7 – The order of performance will know Friday morning June 28, 2019

8 – Interpretation of memory, security in the works presented and stage presence is an asset.

9 – The jury reserves the right to declare any of the prizes and resolve any unforeseen questions on these rules.

10- The winners will know on Sunday 30 June 2019 at the closing concert of the course.

11- Can not participate the winners of the first prizes in other editions of the SONA A GUITARRA.
